The video conveys the existing issues with regards to transportation and tries to convey how with the right approach sustainability can be attributed to it. It takes the case of Mumbai, one of the largest metropolises in the world. Although traffic, noise and air pollution, heavily contested space, stark inequality in the living condition, unaffordability, are issues that nag cities in the developing world, and Mumbai too; there are characteristics to the city that represent a promising scene when one talks about safe and sustainable transpiration.

According to a recent Reuters news, Bangladesh will introduce carbon tax on fuel from this June. The news of imposing carbon tax has drawn mixed reactions from the people. While some businesses and environmental groups have welcomed the plan, some feared adverse effect. Bangladesh has a commitment to reduce carbon emissions by 5.0 per cent in its Nationally Determined Contribution (INDC) during COP21 in Paris. According to Paris Climate Agreement, signatory countries must take measures as per their national climate action plan.


Banjir Kanal Timur in Semarang City and the Problems to Deal With

According to a survey of some parts of the Banjir Kanal Timur (East Flood Canal) area in Semarang City, there are several findings that are considered to be problems. The situation has become difficult because of the rapid urbanization that has the impact of increasing the needs for infrastructure because of the pressure of increasing population and its domino effect on the environment. Some of the visible problems in the area include slums and squatters and the lack of open space.
