The ACCCRN blog winners were sharing experiences at Urban Agriculture Workshop in Chiang Rai

From 3rd to 5th August 2016, Hari Krishna Nibanupudi, the winner of the 2016 ACCCRN Blog Competition, and Srishti Singh, the People’s Choice Winner, visited Chiang Rai, Thailand, to attend the workshop on Building Urban Agriculture Collaboration between Chiang Rai and Hat Yai.

The one and a half day workshop included presentations from related agencies in cities of Chiang Rai and Hat Yai, such as the Chiang Rai Agricultural Extension Agency, Chiang Rai Municipality, Songkhal Community Foundation and the Golden Jubilee Museum of Agriculture Agency.

Sunandan went on to study for a Master’s degree in Ecology from Salim Ali School of Ecology at Pondicherry University. He has applied his knowledge of ecology and development to a wide range of sectors including, water resource management, sanitation, forestry, renewable energy, environmental services and of course, climate change adaptation.


Coastal Restoration through a Mangrove Conservation Project in Semarang, Indonesia

This video describes the implementation of a mangrove project in Semarang, Indonesia, that aims to trigger the reestablishment of a mangrove ecosystem for coastal protection. The community's adaptive capacity is strenghtened through the provision of critical climate information and development of livelihood strategies.
