This guide-book is intended to serve as a step-by-step design and implementation guide for climate change adaptation and resilience building programs. It has a focus on urban context, based on experience from the ongoing Asian Cities Climate Change Resilience Network (ACCCRN) program in Indonesia, funded by Rockefeller Foundation, as implemented in Indonesia by Mercy Corps. The guide highlights practical and real-political challenges and pitfalls and recommends how to reduce these while raising potential for success. The ACCCRN structure is general enough for a variety of programs. The audience for this document is assumed to comprise program designers and implementers. Users should feel free to adapt the guide to their contexts as needed. These are presented in the context of ACCCRN, along with the challenges encountered and the impacts achieved. The intention is to provide a knowledge platform that can be applied to new programs facing different governance and development contexts.
