As the issue of climate change is in the limelight, mitigation is perceived as receiving a lot of attention compared to adaptation. This because mitigation is more quantifiable, thus related efforts seem to be tangible. However Parties have expressed the view that mitigation and adaptation should be treated in a balanced manner. Even though mitigation targets are yet to be reached, emphasis is need to help Parties adapt to risk. Other Parties, should be in position to provide assistance to vulnerable countries. In light of Post-2020 Adaptation agreements, there are three issues that should be considered by all Parties, namely: i) Elements on this 2015 Agreement; ii) Existing gaps to be addressed; iii) Availability of support from developed countries .
